Step One: Your FREE and Discreet Consultation

The first step is for MYA to arrange a free and discreet consultation for you with one of our highly trained Patient Co-ordinators.

What does a consultation involve?

Attending one of MYA's free consultations is a great opportunity for you to ask all of the questions that you may have about a particular procedure. MYA's Patient Co-ordinators are fully trained and will listen to your thoughts, discuss procedures and can often explain firsthand what the experience is really like. You will also have the chance to view past patients before and after pictures, giving you a glimpse of what the result could be like for you. We can also arrange for you to speak to a Talking Patient, someone who has recently had your chosen procedure, who can discuss the process and talk openly about their experience.

Step Two: Meeting The Surgeon

Following your meeting with one of our Patient Co-ordinators a FREE surgical consultation can be arranged. The Surgeon will discuss your expectations with you in much more depth and help decide what is right for you. This medical consultation is also FREE and is a great opportunity for you to ask any additional questions you may have.

Step Three: The Pre-Op

To make sure that surgery is the right option you will have a pre-operative medical screening with one of our qualified nurses to ensure you are fit and healthy. They will then be able to explain what will happen on the day of surgery and everything you can expect in terms of recovery and aftercare.

Step Four: The Day Of Surgery

On the day of your procedure, the Surgeon and Anaesthetist will talk you through the process and information again. You will probably need an overnight stay so the medical team can keep a close eye on you and your Surgeon will visit you again to ensure that you are recovering well.

Step Five: After Surgery

After your procedure we would like to reassure you that we are here for you. You are not alone. A series of follow up appointments will be scheduled with a registered nurse and your dedicated Surgeon to ensure that the surgery has been a success and to make sure everything is proceeding well. We are also on call 24 hours a day through our medical helpline to answer any queries you may have.
