If you have a Breast Reduction, you are reducing the amount of breast tissue and any excess skin. This will make the breasts smaller, whereas breast implants will fill out the breasts and make them bigger.  These are two different procedures.  If the breast needs uplifting (rather than being reduced) an implant can also be inserted at the same time.  An uplift can mean that the breast size is slightly reduced so in this case an implant can be used to restore fullness to the breast.
