Age-24 Weight-9stone Height- 5'3'' Pre op size -- 32/34 A but really empty as i have had 3 children!!! Surgeon-- Mr Adamo with MYA 525cc High profile overs. I left my children and hubby at home and caught the train from Chesterfield to London St Pancras. Where my mum and step dad were waiting for me (they have a motorhome and had been on holiday close by). We got straight on the tube to Highgate and walked about half a mile to the hospital which is fantastic it is more like a hotel and the staff are very friendly and nice. I gave my name in at reception and filled in a form and was then shown to my room 212 which was right outside the nurses station. My nurse came in straight away and checked my details and did my height, weight B.P etc and gave me my stockings paper pants and gown. Then about 10mins later the anesthetist came in and did her checks and told me what would happen when I was being put to sleep. She was closely followed by Mr Adamo. He just went through everything that we had previously discussed and checked implant size etc and then drew his lines on me and took pics and said to get changed as he thought I would be next. He wasnt wrong within 15mins my nurse who I think was called Irminia (she was the kindest bestest nurse ever) came in to take me down to theatre. So I said a teary goodbye to my mum and off I went. In theatre Irminia said good luck and left me in the hands of a new nurse Dora who started attaching me to the machines etc. Then in walked the anethetist and Mr Adamo who instantly put me at ease! As the anethetist and nurses where doing what ever they were doing he was talking to me and the next thing I knew I was asleep and waking up in recovery! I was petrified of going under general anaesthetic as I have never been under before but it really was nothing to be scared of. I was just sleepy when I woke up and couldnt focus very well for about 15mins. I was soon wheeled back to my room where I was begging for a cup of tea and food and after about 30mins I was allowed tea and toast which I wolfed down but then I started to feel sick. But I wasn't so an hour later they brought me my tea. I had grilled plaice and mash wich tasted amazing but unfortunatly after 5 mouthfulls I was sick so I had the anti sickness injection and was left to rest for a bit. At around 10pm I was allowed something else to eat so I opted for a cheese sarni which I ate and then I went to sleep. I drifted in and out of sleep all night and finally woke at 6.30am. My new nurse (Irminia had gone home ) brought me some tea and biscuits and about an hour later I was brought my full english brekkie. Mr Adamo came to see me at about 8.30. He had a look and a feel of my boobies said he was happy and he would see me again in 5-6 weeks. I was discharged at 10.30 with my painkillers and my anti biotics and off home I went in the comfort of my mums lovely motorhome. I slept that night proped up on the settee as I was much more comfortable that way! Im not feeling too bad today apart from slightly tired and my chest feels really tight and tender. I'm due to see the nurse on wednesday to have the dressings off etc. Overall i'm very happy with MYA and would like to thank them especially Mr Adamo my p.c. Charlotte and my nurse at Highgate Irminia who have all been fantastic.
