I had a chin implant one week ago. Although I am pleased with the result I still have numbness in my lower lip and just beneath the lower lip. Is there a chance this will not return to normal? Also the implant feels quite bulky, does this normaly settle down and feel a little more natural? Thanks.
Chin implants are in a tight space. This means it may take awhile for the area to stretch and settle. You will also have bruising and swelling in the area. Most patients experience this and it normally takes between 6 – 12 weeks to start to feel normal. It is very unusual not to get feeling back in your lip.
