I have had the illness for over 5 years and it can be severe. Once I had local anaethetic for dental work and my legs became uncontrollably jumpy. Is general different?
Having a general anaesthetic is different to a local anaesthetic. Having ME does not necessarily mean you will not be able to have cosmetic surgery. You ideally need to discuss this with a surgeon who should then discuss your case with the anaesthetist prior to surgery.
