A conference of British plastic surgeons recently heard about the possibility of 30 minute breast augmentation operations from one of their Texan colleagues.

John Tebbetts told the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (Baaps) that women no longer have to assume they will be out of action for an extended period of time should they opt for the procedure.

His words were given added weight by one Australian woman today, who told the Herald Sun that she was helping to cook dinner within hours of having her procedure done.

Mother of two Alicia Pashalidis was left with uneven breasts after breastfeeding took its toll.

She opted to go under the knife earlier this month and revealed that she was "up and about" the same day.

She said she was "expecting to be in bed for two weeks" and said that "the first day after the operation I took two Panadols, but it was only because I was expecting pain".

"But there wasn’t any apart from a bit of tightness and there still hasn’t been any," she concluded.ADNFCR-1234-ID-18298906-ADNFCR
