News Image A mother and daughter have described how undergoing breast enlargement surgery has been a bonding experience for them.

The Daily Record reported on the story of Kimberley Skinner and her 28-year-old daughter Elaine Conroy, who were both lacking in confidence after breastfeeding had left them flat-chested.

After many years of being unhappy with her appearance, Ms Skinner made the decision to undergo cosmetic surgery after having a consultation at a surgery in Edinburgh.

Following the surgery, which took her from a 36C to a 36E, Ms Skinner said: "I said to myself ‘they are mine’. It was amazing. I was expecting pain, but I had none. I had no discomfort and I was up and walking around before long."

Ms Skinner’s daughter visited her mother shortly after the procedure and made the decision to follow in her mother’s footsteps.

She explained that following the surgery she was has grown in confidence and said: "I am more laidback and I am happy with who I am."

According to the British Association of Plastic Surgeons there was a 30 per increase in the number of women opting for breast augmentation surgery in 2008.ADNFCR-1234-ID-19045969-ADNFCR
