News Image A woman who had a full body lift after losing a substantial amount of weight thanks to a gastric band has told her story to the Daily Mail.

Debbie Murray, a 52-year old former pub manager turned medical company owner, turned to surgery after she lost a significant amount of weight but could not rid herself of the excess skin.

She told the Daily Mail that four weeks after the operation, she was fit enough to return to work.

"I got out of bed, was free of pain and stood up straight – and that was the day I went back to work. And I had dropped ten pounds and two dress sizes from an 18 to a 14/16."

Excess fat was taken from the back and front of her stomach, as well as an extra operation to tighten the muscles of the stomach.

"The body life has really changed my life – I feel confident and attractive," she said.

Although the body lift is not suitable for many, smaller surgeries such as breast enhancement and liposuction can lead to a regaining of confidence.
