News Image A former bouncer who had a boob job to feel "more feminine" is to become a television star this week, reports the South Wales Echo.

Kelly Simpson, a 26-year-old from Cardiff, is to appear on the ITV1 show Ladette to Lady, where self-confessed tomboys are given etiquette and manners training.

Ms Simpson however, remains firm that she has no intention of conforming to the show’s expectations, claiming her large breasts and short skirts are no sign of a lady.

She told the newspaper that her breast augmentation operation won her the approval of Nuts magazine which gave her the title of Sexiest Bouncer.

"I had a boob job because I wanted to feel more feminine," she said. "I’ve started wearing makeup – it makes me feel a lot more confident. It’s a complete transformation. I love my image now."

Ms Simpson was scouted by a modelling agency while working as a bouncer and has since appeared in Maxim, Zoo and FHM magazines.

The number of breast augmentation operations increased by 150 per cent between 2003 and 2005, rising from 10,000 to 26,000, according to a Mintel survey.ADNFCR-1234-ID-18435942-ADNFCR
