News Image The Amateur Boxing Association of England’s (ABAE) decision to ban a female boxer from pursuing a professional career because of breast implants she had in 2003 is "ridiculous".

That is according to Sarah Blewden, who underwent breast augmentation surgery to boost her chances of becoming a successful model, the career she originally chose for herself.

Tony Attwood, chairman of the ABAE said that "international rules" made it illegal for a person with breast implants to box as they could risk damaging breast tissue.

However, Ms Blewden argued: "My surgeon said they make me no more vulnerable than any other woman. They are not enormous ones – they are in proportion."

She also said that her implants were gel and not liquid, so "they won’t burst".

Model Sheyla Hershey recently set the world record for the woman with the largest breast implants after nine operations left her with 38kkk breasts.ADNFCR-1234-ID-19028650-ADNFCR
