British woman breaks cosmetic surgery world record

A mum-of-three from Cambridgeshire has broken the world record for having the most cosmetic surgery.

Sarah Burge, 49, has spent more than £539,000 to date transforming her appearance, going under the knife for over 100 cosmetic surgery procedures and treatments.

Commenting on her passion for surgery, Ms Burge told the Daily Mail: "It’s addictive – you find yourself wondering what you can have done next? It’s not that I’m unhappy with the way I look – I’ve always been confident about my appearance.

"That’s why I want to keep my body and face as they are. All the work I’ve had done has been to stop the ageing process."

Over the years, Ms Burge has undergone breast surgeries, liposuction, tummy tucks and facial rejuvenation treatments.

She has broken the Guinness World Record title previously held by 53-year-old American singer and writer Cindy Jackson.

Both record holders admit that a desire to look like Barbie motivated their cosmetic surgery choices.
