News Image Research has found that more people know the medical term for a nose job than where the stomach is located in the human body.

A study by Yakult revealed that while four out of five people in the UK were aware that rhinoplasty was the procedure for getting a nose job, less than two thirds could pick out the stomach on a diagram.

Nutritionist Fiona Hunter said: "People are bombarded with health messages from a variety of different sources – from friends, family and the media through to food manufactures and retailers so I’m not surprised people are often confused.

"It’s important that people remember that nutrition is an evolving science and as such we are constantly fine-tuning the message."

Nose jobs are a popular cosmetic procedure, particularly among women, and can involve anything from making nostrils smaller to changing the tip or building a button nose.

Celebrities including Michael Jackson and Cher have undergone surgery on their noses – a procedure which costs around £3,000. ADNFCR-1234-ID-18793071-ADNFCR
