News Image A quarter of Britons are so embarrassed of revealing their moobs and other physical imperfections they are avoiding going on holiday altogether.

That is according to a survey from online travel agent sunshine.co.uk, which revealed that nearly 90 per cent of UK citizens were ashamed of their bodies.

Sunshine.co.uk listed moobs, love handles and cellulite and stretch marks as imperfections which Brits were concerned about revealing and its survey confirmed 57 per cent of holidaymakers cover up to avoid embarrassment on the beach.

Commenting on the results of the survey, Chris Brown, managing director of sunshine.co.uk, said: "As a nation we’re constantly given this image of what we should look like and therefore it’s no surprise that so many people are worried about revealing all on holiday."

Those from the north west of the country were most affected by body insecurities, while the Welsh appeared the most confident with just nine per cent admitting they would be working out in preparation for their summer break.

Statistics released by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons revealed that male breast reduction operations are becoming increasingly popular and have taken over from facelifts as the fifth most asked for procedure for men.ADNFCR-1234-ID-19090627-ADNFCR
