In addition, experts suggest that the ongoing development and innovation of new technology and widespread rollout of minimally-invasive procedures is encouraging more people to go under the knife.
Brazilian surgeon, Dr Marco Faria-Correa revealed that a growing number of women are requesting buttock implants to get the shape of voluptuous celebrities such as Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Lopez.
Commenting on the popularity trends among different age groups, he told the Jakarta Post: "Patients in their 20s are more concerned about their love handles, while the 30-somethings go for fillers and Botox, among other things.
"Women have different "needs" at different ages, and it’s usually very personal."
Reports suggest that often, patients claim that having surgery enhances their personal lives by renewing confidence and improving relationships.
