Demand for cosmetic surgery continued to grow last year, with all surgical and non-surgical categories performing well, figures show.

Cosmetic surgery statistics for last year also reveal that more men are going under the knife to improve their appearance.

Recent industry reports indicate that the effect of hectic working lives, poorer diets and lack of exercise is taking its toll on Britain’s men, creating a greater need for male surgery, experts suggest.

The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons revealed earlier this year that the number of male breast reduction procedures carried out last year increased by 44 per cent.
