News Image The allure of celebrity stardom and glamour of fame is encouraging more and more women to turn to cosmetic surgery, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).

Rajiv Grover, honorary secretary of BAAPS, told the Telegraph that an increasing number of women are bringing aspirational photos of popular celebrities to consultations as a guide, particularly for breast enlargement and nose job procedures.

Nigel Mercer, a fellow surgeon and BAAPS president, added: "People look at Katie Price [otherwise known as Jordan] who has created a business based on the size of her breasts, and they want to copy her in the hope they will attain that celebrity dream."

Studies suggest that the growing popularity of celebrity, not only in the UK but also in the US, is influencing demand for certain cosmetic procedures and treatments.

Katie Price has undergone numerous breast surgeries, Botox treatments and lip enhancements to create her signature image, emulated by many other celebs and glamour models over the years.ADNFCR-1234-ID-18950611-ADNFCR
