News Image More and more women in the UK are turning to cosmetic surgery for prettier feet, experts report.

According to London-based podiatric surgeon Ron McCulloch, cosmetic foot surgery has become increasingly popular among Brits in recent years.

"There are some patients out there who become so obsessed about the look of their feet that it actually becomes a traumatic experience," he told The Voice. "Cosmetic surgery is about allowing the foot to become what is considered normal again."

He added: "The rewards and happiness that women get from cosmetic surgery on the foot can be equally as great as patients who are alleviated from pain."

Dr McCulloch added that demand for cosmetic foot procedures is not only limited to female patients, with many British men also opting for surgery.

Common problems that can be treated by surgery include bunions, corns, hammer toes and claw toes.ADNFCR-1234-ID-18942026-ADNFCR
