Cosmetic surgery ‘corrects effects of breastfeeding’

Women have cosmetic surgery on their breasts to correct the effect of breastfeeding, it has been reported.

South African actress Khanyisile Mbau is considering having breast augmentation to regain the "firm and beautiful" chest she had before having her baby girl, reports the Sowetan newspaper.

The actress, who has been referred to as the Paris Hilton of South Africa, claimed that she wants the surgery for personal reasons and that her husband is not at all bothered by her post-baby bust.

"Breast feeding has spoiled my figure," she said. "My breasts are now deformed. I have lost a lot of weight. I am doing the implants because it is necessary."

Ms Mbau intends to take her breasts from an A-cup to a D-cup so that she can feel sexy, the newspaper added.

Best known for her roles in South African soaps Muvhango and Mzansi, the actress appeared in mini-series After Nine last year.
