Middle-aged women are dating younger, more attractive men because they know they look good, claims Esther Rantzen.
She told the Daily Mail that women who become single later in life are enjoying the dating game as they have not only the style, the wallet but also the looks to attract the most eligible men.
"Choose the right surgeon and a successful woman can replace her elderly sags and bags with perky new boobs and smooth, soft skin," she said.
Ms Rantzen explained that the likes of Madonna and Anne Robinson have proven that in this day and age, women can marry or date good looking men despite an age difference.
More than one-third of women in a study by the National Consumers League and Harris Interactive claims looking younger will improve their happiness levels.
Douglas McGeorge, consultant plastic surgeon and British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery claims the oldest facelift patient he has treated is 81.
