Inactive lifestyles, combined with fat and sugar laden diets have resulted in an unprecedented level of obesity among British adults, experts claim.
Chairman of the National Obesity Forum Dr Colin Waine said that rising rates of obesity in the UK "has been fuelled by changes in our environment in that food is now plentiful and in huge abundance. It is often far too fattening in calorie content and salt and sugar content".
"The way we lead our daily lives has taken any physical activity out of them, so the end result is expanding people and becoming obese," he explained.
For a happier, healthier body image, lifestyle and self-confidence weight loss experts advise the gradual introduction of exercise to daily routine as well as increased intake of fruit and vegetables.
Case studies show that cosmetic surgery procedures such as liposuction can help contour the body and remove any unwanted skin for those who experience dramatic weight loss.
