News Image Injectable facial fillers are being put on trial at a surgery in the US and one patient has already praised the effects of the procedure.

Chris is a patient who has undergone treatment using the Juvederm Midface Rejuvenation (JuMIR) technique.

He explained that it had made his face "feel filled out" and commented: "It plumped up my cheeks and got rid of that ‘sunken’ look. And I noticed that the JuMIR treatment actually turned up the corners of my mouth."

The patient also noted that the new technique had left him with "absolutely no bruising", which he said was a common side effect with his previous treatment.

Doctors at the Hinsdale Centre for Plastic Surgery and its Skin Elegance Medical Spa will be studying the effects of the treatment closely.

Figures released by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery showed that 80 per cent of plastic surgeons had reported a rise in the number of people having non-invasive cosmetic procedures over the last year.ADNFCR-1234-ID-19097249-ADNFCR
