Film director Cheryl Hines has defended movie stars’ right to have cosmetic surgery to keep them looking young, despite the criticism often directed at them by the press for such procedures.
According to Fox news, the director said: "You know what, if it makes you happy, do it. I don’t care. Whatever works."
The refreshingly direct attitudes will be welcomed by many stars around the world, as they face a constant pressure to look good from the press and filmmakers while also being subjected to criticism by some members of the press if they choose to have cosmetic surgery.
Many top stars have had successful surgery that has significantly enhanced their carer prospects, with the likes of 63-year-old Dolly Parton renowned for her various breast surgery and other procedures.
The singer is not the only 60-something star to go under the knife and English actress Patricia Hodge recently revealed she was considering having cosmetic surgery.
The 62-year-old Calendar Girls star told the Daily Telegraph she is currently undecided about having cosmetic surgery, but could take the plunge at some point in the future.
