News Image A 54-year-old who has no intention of growing old gracefully has expressed her happiness after winning over £2,000 worth of cosmetic surgery.

Gail Farrow told the Wiltshire Times that the newspaper’s Turning Back The Clock competition prize has meant she can finally afford the treatment she had always wanted.

The former care worker had Botox and restylane fillers to smooth and plump up her skin, followed by laser treatment to treat the finer wrinkles.

Ms Farrow, who has fostered 15 children, then underwent a blepharoplasty operation, where an eyelift is performed under local anaesthetic.

"Now I’ve actually got eyelids and it’s really opened up my eyes," she told the newspaper. "I feel like a new woman and I look like one too. I would never have thought something so great would happen to someone like me."

In addition to the cosmetic enhancements, Ms Farrow was also given a free hair and makeup transformation by local beauticians.

Blepharoplasty procedures rose by 13 per cent last year, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.ADNFCR-1234-ID-18564874-ADNFCR
