News Image A gel breast implant has been hailed as being less likely to rupture, leak or harden than some traditional varieties of implant.

WWLTV spoke to plastic surgeons about the cohesive gel implants, colloquially known within the trade as Gummy Bears.

They have been used in some countries but are not yet approved for the US.

Dr Kamran Khoobehi explained: "Experience from Europe shows that they last longer and one of the reasons is that you don’t get any folds in it because it’s a much more shaped implant."

The gel implants, unlike traditional ones, are not round but teardrop shaped like a natural breast, meaning the gel stays more still while the woman moves.

A beauty queen recently defended breast enlargement surgery, pointing out that it is not prohibited by the Bible.

Carrie Prejean, former Miss California, told Christianity Today: "I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting breast implants, as a Christian."ADNFCR-1234-ID-19474267-ADNFCR
