British actress and new mum, Minnie Driver, has sparked rumours that she may have opted for a ‘mummy makeover’ following the birth of her first child.
The 38-year-old star gave birth to son Henry at the beginning of last month and already appears to have lost her baby weight, showing off her post-baby body at a recent celebrity event.
However, plastic surgeon, Dr Jennifer Walden told Make Me Heal: "Mommy makeovers are most effective six months to a year after having a baby, as that time frame allows the body to re-establish equilibrium after the physiologic changes associated with pregnancy.
"Also, mom can lose most of the weight prior to any plastic surgery procedure involving removal of redundant skin or tightening of stretched out abdominal muscles."
Dr Walden suggests that Minnie could not have undergone breast surgery or tummy tuck procedures so soon after the birth, meaning that the actress’ svelte post-pregnancy body is down to healthy eating and a regular exercise regime.
