Liposuction ‘can sculpt’ the body

Liposuction smoothes out rough spots, one plastic surgeon has indicated.

The specialist claimed the procedure helps to give individuals a "better" body shape.

He explained liposuction does not remove large volumes of fat but can lead a patient to drop a couple of dress sizes.

"Removing three pounds of fat from the lower abdomen, just below the belly button, can sometimes bring a patient from a size 14 pants to a size ten," the expert stated.

The doctor observed the ideal candidate for liposuction is someone that has already used diet and exercise to get as close as they can to their ideal body shape and is in "good general health."

He remarked the most popular areas that liposuction is used on is the lower abdomen, around the waist and under the chin.
