If money was no object, 28 per cent of women would choose liposuction as their dream cosmetic treatment, it has been revealed.
A poll conducted by Glamour magazine found that 26 per cent would opt for micro-dermabrasion procedures, 25 per cent would rather have a facelift and 21 per cent are dreaming of a chemical peel.
Liposuction procedures increased by 15 per cent last year, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons stated.
Commenting on women’s desire to have cosmetic surgery and prevent wrinkles, independent chartered psychologist Dr Helen Nightingale told Glamour that the ageing process can be "very, very cruel" for females.
Echoing Dr Nightingale’s sentiments, 28-year-old Nicola Brookes said that she has so far spent £3,000 on Botox and Restylane treatments.
She explained: "I want to grow old gracefully, but although I can’t bear the thought of a facelift now, I can’t rule out more surgery in a few years."
