News Image A new product of long-lasting temporary filler has been developed for the purpose of reducing unwanted smile lines, it has been revealed.

This specifically designed cosmetic filler is made of hypoallergenic pig collagen and is not to be used for lip or eyelid treatments, experts say.

"It produces an immediate result. You put it in and people walk out and they’re done … I would say the likelihood of bruising is less than some of the other fillers," surgeon Dr Gerald Bernstein told NorthWest Cable News.

Facial fillers are used to smooth out any fine lines or wrinkles which develop over time and tend to be deeper in certain areas of the face, such as around the mouth.

In response to a recent report regarding the safety of cosmetic fillers published by the US Food and Drug Administration, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery said that when applied properly fillers are safe for patients.ADNFCR-1234-ID-18895226-ADNFCR
