Oscar nominees ‘could benefit’ from surgery

In the run up to this year’s Oscars awards ceremony, a US cosmetic surgeon has described some of the ways the nominees could improve their appearance with surgery.

Dr Paul Nassif of Spalding Drive Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology in Beverly Hills has claimed that although many celebrities are growing old with grace, there are a number of small enhancements that would benefit their appearance.

"Maybe they are tired of the crows’ feet around their eyes or they would like fuller, plumper lips," he said. "For them, injectable fillers are a great answer."

Dr Nassif recommended a nose job for Daniel Day-Lewis, a browlift for Johnny Depp and Tommy Lee Jones, and Botox for Viggo Mortensen.

Despite being beautiful, Cate Blanchett, who is nominated for two awards this year, could maybe look even more attractive with Botox to the forehead and lip fillers, he added, claiming that Laura Linney’s heavy brow could be corrected with a surgical lift.

Held on February 24th, the Oscars will be celebrating its 80th annual ceremony.
