After 50 odd years in working life it seems that many women are looking forward to treating themselves when they finally retire.
A recent survey carried out by MGM Advantage shows that one in 30 women planned to use their new found freedom to have cosmetic surgery.
The website said that men were event more ambitious when it comes to retirement plans with one in 50 wanting to take a trip into outer-space.
"Our retirement dreams need to be paid for and that’s where many of us are simply not prepared," MGM Advantage said.
It recommended those who were getting close to retirement to seek independent financial advice which may help them fund their dreams.
Earlier this year, the Daily Mail spoke to a couple of pensioners who were planning to go under the knife.
Amelia, 62, who recently decided to have a facelift, told the newspaper: "I was in my late 50s when I started to feel unhappy about the way I looked."
She added that after the procedure she "no longer had a droopy face but firmer younger-looking skin".
