Surgery ‘gives confidence’

A breast reduction operation combined with a tummy tuck completely changed one woman’s life, reported the Sunday Mirror.

Helen Smith told the newspaper that she had always struggled with her weight and had been called Watermelons at school due to her 44FF-sized breasts.

Therefore, when her brother plastic surgeon Dr Mark Erlich offered to perform cosmetic surgery on her, she said she saw no reason why not.

Following the operation, Ms Smith claimed her outlook on life completely changed.

"I couldn’t believe how much less of me there was," she said. "Ten pounds of breast tissue were gone – and another seven pounds from my tummy."

She added: "I was ecstatic. It gave me the confidence to eat healthily and work out."

The Daily Telegraph recently reported that cosmetic surgeons performing procedures on their family is nothing new.

Surgeon Alex Karidis told the newspaper that he is extremely proud of the liposuction he did on his wife.
