Cosmetic surgery procedures such as brow lifts and face lifts are offering both men and women an effective way of reversing the long-term effects of stress on their appearance.
That is according to Dr Charles Spenler from the Association of South Bay Plastic Surgeons, who revealed that demand for rejuvenating face and neck procedures is growing in line with stress levels.
"High stress levels cause facial tissues to age faster, and in the long run this creates a worn-out appearance that can be frustrating and damaging for a person’s self-esteem," he explained.
In addition, less-invasive treatments such as chemical peels and dermal fillers are also increasingly popular as a quick-fix to tired, ravaged skin.
The latest Vitality Index from PruHealth reveals that more and more Brits are neglecting their fitness and healthy eating regimes as job and financial stresses continue to mount.
