Will Shirley Manson have plastic surgery?

Garbage front woman Shirley Manson could be set to go under the knife for plastic surgery.

The singer – who turned 44 last week – took to her page on social networking website Facebook to state she considers herself to be "ancient" in the world of entertainment.

"I am at odds with plastic surgery, Botox, filler and surgical enhancement. Meanwhile… almost everyone I know is at it," she wrote.

Selina Julien, assistant editor of showbiz magazine Now, told The Scotsman the musician's outburst is fairly typical of many slightly older women in the entertainment industry, as there is a "massive pressure" on women in show business to look youthful.

However, Shirley is by no means the only star who has revealed she is considering opting for plastic surgery.

Former Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson recently admitted she plans to go under the surgeon's knife for liposuction once she has her second child.
