Detailed Information

The Procedure

Buttock implants are usually made of silicone and surgery is performed under general anaesthetic. The surgeon makes a discrete incision between the buttock cheeks and a space is made behind the upper buttock muscle, to place the implant.

How long does it take?

It takes between 1 and 2 hours.

Is it right for me?

Any surgery is a big decision and we’ll provide all the details you need to make an informed choice. However, you might find it’s your legs or waist that are causing the problem, not your bottom. A consultation with a MYA surgeon will help you decide whether implants are your best option to achieve the look you desire.

What happens after surgery?

After an overnight stay in hospital you’ll need a week off work to recover, and no exercise for six weeks.
