A breast uplift or breast mastopexy is a great way to raise and reshape breasts, giving a much younger, rejuvenated appearance. It offers a new lease of life to a tired shape after significant weight loss, pregnancy or just the general force of gravity and ageing.
BREAST UPLIFT SURGERY
Women's breasts can lose their shape through weight loss, following childbirth or as part of the natural ageing process. Diet and exercise can help but are not always enough. Breast uplift surgery can be extremely effective as it restores fullness and gives breasts a more youthful and pert appearance.
Re-shaping of the breasts can really increase a person's confidence and the procedure can either be done alongside a breast augmentation or without significantly altering the size of your breasts.
A SIMPLE AND SAFE PROCEDURE
The operation involves the surgeon removing the excess skin from around the breast creating a much more pert breast. The procedure is performed under a general anaesthetic and usually lasts between 1 and 2 hours. Small incisions around the breast are also made in order to allow the nipple and areola to sit higher on the breast. The excess skin is then removed from below.
QUICK RECOVERY
You will need to spend one to two nights in hospital followed by a couple of weeks off work. Following breast uplift surgery, you will need to wear a supportive bra and refrain from too much physical activity for several weeks. The stitches will be removed after 7-14 days.
