The Procedure
Most ear re-shaping operations are performed under general anaesthetic, or local anaesthetic. An incision is made behind the ear in the fold where the ear meets your head. Cartilage and skin is usually removed or pinned back with a few fine stitches.
How long does it take?
Surgery takes around 1 hour.
Is it right for me?
Any surgery is a big decision and we’ll provide all the details you need to make an informed choice. However, this is a brilliant way to revive confidence lost during school days. Your surgeon can help you be realistic about the look you want to achieve.
What happens after surgery?
The hospital stay and time away from work will vary depending on the procedure. A MYA surgeon will be able to explain this in more detail.
