The Procedure
A face lift is usually performed under general anaesthetic. An incision is made along the hairline and around the ears. Once excess fat is removed, underlying muscles are tightened and the skin’s pulled up into its new position.
How long does it take?
Between 2 and 3 hours, but in more complex instances up to 6.
Is it right for me?
Any surgery is a big decision and we’ll provide all the details you need to make an informed choice. However, this is a great way to achieve a believable, younger look. Though to remove deep frown lines, fillers or muscle relaxants may be a better option. Your MYA surgeon will be able to advise you on this.
What happens after surgery?
After an overnight hospital stay, you’ll probably need two weeks off work to recover.
