Hi, The first time I applied for credit with Mya I was refused too, my credit score wasn’t great as I was recently divorced and had gone back to my maiden name so had no credit records against it. Anna’s right, if you keep applying and getting refused it dose effect your credit rating. It you go onto the martin lewis money saving expert webite there is a section on credit cards and loans, you can do a search on here of all credit option available for low credit ratings and it will give you an estimation of if you will be accepted before you apply. Another option would be to make an appointment with you bank manager and they will go through options available with you. Failing this could you borrow the money from a relative? Or could they takeout the loan for you?
Not that im suggesting that you do this at all but when my credit was bad I took out a loan with Wonga and they paid it all back straight away on the first monthly payment (including about £10 interest) this boosted my credit rating. xx Its so frustrating when you know you want it done 🙁 xx
Partner or Parents pay for you
This may not always be an option but you never know unless you ask. If you’ve got a big birthday coming up or if you ask really nicely, you might be surprised by the answer!

I’m lucky enough to have an amazing partner that paid for my surgery in full …. very spoilt I guess 🙂 …. would of taken the same route as you tho if I had too ! I don’t see a problem with those that finance I no 100% how having a small chest makes a woman feel so I’d of had it at any cost! Good luck ladies 🙂 xx
There are a lot of good options out there if you’re considering paying for your procedure with a credit card. Have a look on the forum or check out MoneySavingExpert.com for more advice.

I have my Op tomorrow! 8am admission at Preston with Mr Traynor!
I can’t recommend MYA enough, I saw my PC, surgeon and nurse and will be having my op, all within 6 weeks of starting!
I already had some savings for a trip traveling round Thailand next year, but worked out I could have up over the next few months for that and used what I had already saved for a deposit
I put £1000 down as a deposit and then got a credit cards with 0% interest for 27 months. So I have payed the rest on that as will be paying around £90 – £130 each month to pay that off
So I’m kind of saving up after I have my new boobs haha!
Feel free to ask me anything else and I’ll be updating my boob journey on here too 🙂
Good luck! Xx
Finance in someone else’s name
If you have no credit history or even bad credit history but can easily afford monthly payments, this could be an option for you. A partner, parent or really good friend could take out finance in their name but you make the monthly payments.

My finance was declined so my boyfriend took it out for me 🙂 Your PC just sends you out your personal finance form so it’s already linked to you but then you fill everything out with your friend’s details xx
Depending on your bank and financial situation, this could be a viable option for you. You can easily make an appointment at your bank to discuss taking out a loan and they will handle the rest.

I got a loan, i didnt get accepted with mya. And my bank did an even better rate than expected.
id look at your banks 100% girls go with the one your currently hold an account with of get a credit card and pay that of monthly if you just need that extra little bit?
I was going to wait and save but im so happy I just did it rather than waiting!

Thankyou so much for all your help girls, I looked on Experian and I can’t get accepted for a personal loan because I have little credit history, even though I have a car on finance which I’ve always paid on time. However I’m going to make an appointment with my bank and explain the situation and see what they can do for me! If all else fails I’ll just have to carry on saving and pay upfront but its so annoying because I just don’t want to wait any longer ahhh!!! Xxx
Combined Finance & Other
There’s no reason why you can’t combine options to find a payment method that suits you. The world of finance is your oyster so have a shop around and see what works best for you.

I did the 0% finance over 10 months option where you pay half upfront and have the over half on finance. I’ve never really had anything to give me a credit score so mine was declined but my boyfriend took it out for me instead. My friend had hers declined but she was accepted for a credit card by Tesco for nearly the whole price so she must’ve only had to pay a small deposit. If MYA don’t accept it then check for other credit cards, you might get a better deal elsewhere anyway 🙂 xx

I’d just try the finance 🙂 you will be fine!
I paid £500 deposit via debit card. £2500 debit card (thanks to my lovely boyfriend) and then out the remaining £2000 on my new asda interest free (plus cash back) credit card 🙂 xx
MYA also offer finance via Pay4Later with a representative APR of 19.9%. Another option to add to your list for consideration.

I took a loan with pay4later that is what Mya has recommended to me. To be hones it is really easy to get accepted. My income wasnt that stabel or regular to be honest..I have applied once- got denied, then a few days later- tried again and it worked! The sad thing is that there is 19.9% interest.., so I am over paying, hovewer I believe that its worth it! Try to find cheaper options if you can. Anyway Good Luck!
