• Why did you want the procedure?

  I hated my nose for about 10 years, it was big, crooked and droopy and it just looked so out of place on my face. I had been researching rhinoplasty procedures for years before I plucked up the courage to go ahead with it!

• Why did you choose MYA?

  They kept coming up in my research with 5* reviews and excellent before and after pictures, I also had a family member that went to MYA for a procedure and she had a great experience too.

• How was your consultation?

  I had two consultations. The first surgeon I saw didn’t feel he could give me the results I wanted and didn’t feel it needed to be made smaller, so I was really disheartened but he recommended getting a second opinion, and that’s where Dr. Andrea Giannitrapani comes in. The consultation was really good, he knew exactly what I wanted and said he could do everything I want. He was friendly and really easy to talk to.

• How was the day of your procedure?

  I wasn’t nervous at all, because I knew how much I wanted this! It was absolutely fine. I waited in my room for about 2 and a half hours before I went down to theatre. I felt fine when I came round, no discomfort whatsoever. My admission time was 9am and I was out by 6:30pm.

• How was your recovery?

  My recovery was surprisingly easy. I experienced no pain, only a mild headache on day 2 which I took mild painkillers or. I didn’t use any of the stronger painkillers! The only bad part of my recovery was a reaction to the antibiotics, which I have had before with a different type of antibiotic, so I am just allergic to that type of medicine I think.

• Are you happy with your results?

  I am ridiculously happy with the result. There is not one thing I would change. Everyone is amazed with the results, I have never had so many texts and messages in my life after I posted a picture on Facebook of my new nose! Its amazing, I still can’t believe its me!
