• Why did you want the procedure?

  I have had loose skin on my stomach for 17 years and my abdominal muscles were herniated.

• Why did you choose MYA?

  I have had a few consultations with MYA, never actually went anywhere else as I felt comfortable with MYA.

• How was your consultation?

  Mr Frati is very blunt and straight to the point, I liked that as I didn’t want someone to fill my head will all sorts of stuff, just the stuff I needed to know was enough for me. He explained everything in terms I cold understand and even drew me a picture of where my scar would be.

• How was the day of your procedure?

  I had to wait a while in reception before going p to the ward but from then on it was plain sailing and comfortable. Mr Frati and the anaesthetist came to see me before hand to put me at ease.

• How was your recovery?

  My overnight stay was great. The staff exceeded my expectations and were lovely and caring and gentle. I am 9 days post op now and back on my feet and off pain killers (have been for a few days now).

• Are you happy with your results?

  I have only seen my tummy at dressing change but so far so good, there is slight overgrowth of tissue on the scar line but this may be due to swelling, hopefully it won’t require more than maybe an antihistamine cream. Aside from that, all looks brilliant, the scar is quite fine, belly button hasn’t settled yet so can’t comment on that.
