    Hi girls!
Just thought I would keep you all up to date. I’m 3DPO and feeling amazing! I just gave a couple of questions. Firstly, when did everyone start to feel their nipples again? Secondly, how long do I have to sleep upright for? Thank you! X

Glad to hear you feel amazing! I’m 15dpo and started feeling my nipples a few days ago, and they seem alot more sensitive than before now!
Think u can start sleeping back to normal at 2 weeks, I have my 2 week appointment today so I’m hoping the nurse says it’s fine and I can shower properly!
    Happy healing!!

I still can’t feel one of mine at 5weeks… and I was advised to sleep upright for 10-14 days (I stopped at day 12…) it’s so hard but it isn’t forever.

Thanks Alf. The sleeping upright is difficult and I’ve only done 3 nights! X

I regained nipple sensation after about a week and they feel just as sensitive if not more so than before!! 🙂 I’m 3 weeks po today and I still sleep slightly upright as the pressure on my chest in the morning is really painful otherwise! Happy healing!

You’ve gotta sleep upright for another 4 weeks? Oh my god, literally couldn’t cope with that! How come? How are the scars looking? X

That’s what she said but I think each nurse is different! They look to be healing well dressings are off and I can shower so that’s a bonus!
I might message my pc to ask about sleeping I’m not sure I can do another 4 weeks!

I had to sleep upright for four weeks which was fine as I had a bed rest from argos cost 22 quid or so ans lots of pillows to prop on it.
U have to aleep upright because of swelling and settling of implants. Applying pressure on either side may result in the implants displacing.

I didn’t feel comfortable to sleep on my sides until at least two months post as my bobons felt they were being squashed plus it was all very tight skin wise.

I had a nipple uplift and didn’t get back normal sensation to both until 3 months post op as they were permanently hard and one kept losing sensation.

Consult ur notes u were given when discharged it’ll tell u there how long to sleep upright or contact t ur nurse who will advise what ur actual surgeon wants because this may differ from other surgeons.

Yes I think you will find its four weeks for every single one of us, had my op on Tuesday this week lots of pillows and pillows under my knees which I read on here and it’s really help. But you also have to look at it another way do you have the money to sort them out if you don’t follow the instructions ???? Four weeks isn’t that long and you want the perfect result sorry if I sound like nagging mother hen lol you want them to be there best.
I sleep on my tummy never on my back let alone sitting up, I never wear anything to bed and now I have to wear a bra and surgical socks so I know how difficult it is xxx

Hi I haven’t had my op yet but had a second consult with Dr Lutz yesterday and when I asked her how long I had to sleep sat up for she replied “not at all, just sleep on your back” which has really confused me as literally EVERYONE on here says for at the very least 2 weeks?? Xx
