Any girls travelled home the same day after your op??

Hi girls, got my BA on 27tg March in Fitzroy, I’m staying the night before my op in a hotel, but still undecided whether I’ll have to say there another night or if I can go home? I’d like to hear what you done and how you felt when you left the hospital please? And how long does it take for the pain/ sickness, drowsiness to kick in after the surgery? Never been under General anaesthetic before so slightly worried how I’ll react to it! Xx

Hey babe, I was thinking of staying in London with my friend if I was feeling unwell after my op but I felt absolutely fine so travelled home the same day. I was discharged at 4 and it took us 3 hours to get home but I’m so glad I did it as the next day I woke up in a lot of pain and there’s no way I could have spent 3 hours in the car. Everyone is different though, it depends how you react to GA and how much pain/discomfort you’re in after xxx

Hey sweetie with my 1st op I had uplift /implants had to stay over the night 2nd op with implants I book my partner in a hotel near by I was told I would be staying over and on the day they let go but I stayed at the hotel only because we had already payed but to be fair I just wanted my own bed 3rd time 8 weeks ago had implants nipple lift and I was able to go home and that was 3hour dirve wasn’t n any pain as the meds wear still working from table but if they think your not ok they will keep u in the night xx

Hi hun i stayed in a hotel the night before that was around £360 treat from my man i was guna stay a 2nd night but tbh thought it wasnt worth doing i just wanted to be bk in my own bed so i went home the same day it was a 3hr journey and i managed it well.. i took a blanket and my v pillow to make myself comfortable.. im glad i stayed the night before if i had of travelled up there on the morning id of been exhausted n probably not made it back home x

Hey babe. I went home the same day. My admission time was 11.30, op about 1. Started to feel human about 6 and was discharged at 8.30pm. Drove home 2 and a half hours and arrived in time to order a pizza then climb into my own bed 🙂 everyone reacts different to GA so I’d leave your options open until the day. Goodluck xxx

Hi Tyler. I went home the same day – so glad I did. Being in your own bed is so much nicer than being somewhere else. Plus I wouldn’t of liked to do that journey back the next day because the pain is much worse. Good luck 🙂 x

Hay babes I’m gunna make the 4hr drive home there’s no place like home plus the pain med will still b in your system so shouldn’t be to bad plus ull probably feel quite sleepy I’m hoping I may just sleep the way home roll on March 27th eeek!!!

Thanks for all your replies girls! I think I’ll come home the same day, especially if the pain is worse the next day! Only problem is I’m catching the national express home and it’s a 3 1/2 hour journey home, Fingers crossed I’ll be ok because I really want to go home and recover in my own home! Ahhhh Rachel I can’t wait! 59 days and counting! Ekkkkk! Xxx

I went home 2 mins after coming round felt absolutely fine. But suppose everyone is defferent. Xx

hey guys – i am planning to have mine done and then go home the same day.. is it advisable to have somebody take you home or will i be ok by myself?

Does it just depend how you are after your op if you can travel home the same day or not? I have my op Tuesday haven’t got my time yet but I have been told I have to stay in a hotel on the night of my op? I would rather go home and Ive seen most people are saying the pain is worse the next day which won’t be nice doing a 3 hour drive x

Hi 🙂 I’ve got my op 3rd march at Fitzroy my friend is going to drive me back that night, think it will be better travelling that day rather than the day after cus will still be drugged up lol, hope it all goes ok xx
