Just wondered if your boobs changed dramatically afterwards

I’d like to know this too as I’m planning kids soon and my BA was 4 weeks ago. The reason I got them done before is I knew I just wouldn’t have time or money to do them after. I’ve managed to get away with hardly anyone knowing I’ve had them done too.

I’ve heard it doesn’t make much difference as long as you look after them and make them well supported etc, but that they obviously can move and change with breastfeeding, just don’t want to be left with horrible boobs I don’t intend on having them for about 2 years anyway really x

I had my op today and I already have a little girl. At my initial consultation I asked about this as I definitely want more children within the next 2 years and he said it wouldn’t make much difference. My boobs will change during pregnancy but like others have said you have to look after them and make sure you’re wearing good supportive bras. He said any major damage would come from if you breastfed over a long period of time, say a year. When I came in this morning for my op we were talking about the lifetime of implants and he said he recently had a lady in who had implants 10 years ago and came back to see if they needed changing, the only thing that had happened in those 10 years was that she’d had another baby and he said they still looked great so he advised her to keep them in for another 2 years which was a massive reassurance to me xxx

Hi @claire040690 my cousin had a BA about 4 years ago and has recently had a baby. She only breastfed him for the first week to give the baby the special nutrient filled milk they need as a newborn. She stopped because her boobs were getting so engorged by the breast feeding, she was worried that they would stretch and then sag beneath the implant if she carried on.
I asked my surgeon and PC about the breastfeeding issue, and they both said that obviously if you continue to breastfeed for a long time, you boobs will eventually change shape, but the implants will remain the same, so this can affect the results especially if they’re under the muscle.
    Hope this helps!! xxx

After breastfeeding two little ones for about six months each child I can tell you now that my boobs altered significantly due to your breaststroke filling up with milk and becoming engorged to being loose and the skin stretching. Also your nipples change too so I chose to have my BA after children as the skin will be loose after. Or ‘double bubble’ as the surgeon says.

I know they will change without implants and if you breastfeed just concerned how much they will change just from being pregnant with implants x
