ba last may now got capsular contraction gutted

hi girls i had my ba last may 300 unders and ive now got capsular contraction, im so gutted, my left breast feels horrid, hard and so tight. my surgeon wont do anything about it though but i cant even sleep on that side anymore and cant wear an underwired bra because it makes the area burn. what a nightmare and i just have to live with this, im gutted after paying so much money less than a year ago. the surgeon did such a good job and mya have been absolutely fantastic, their aftercare cant be faulted but im gutted the surgeon said i just have to live with this xx

Why wont they do anything to help you? x

CC is covered in the aftercare package they HAVE to sort it out, it’s in the conditions you sign up to Pre op, CC just gets worse over time so it needs sorting hunn x

I wouldnt accept what the surgeon has said either hun…I would contact your pc tomorrow and demand to see somebody and get it sorted…as you said “all that money” exactly they have to do something for you…they cant expect you to stay as you are?? let us know how you get on x

I agree. I was told that treatment for cc was to remove the implant, clear put the scar tissue then reinsert the implant. This is covered by the aftercare agreement. If you’re in pain they have to sort it. Xxx

Janeella what did the surgeon say to you?

If you catch CC early there is a chance that you cant massage it out. I’ve heard that it hurts when you do it but it is possible. A re-op is last resort.

I went back to MYA and spoke to another surgeon as mine doesn’t work for them any longer. One of my implants feels alot firmer than the other and i was quite concerned. turns out that it was just the larger implant that i had and it was a tighter pocket than the other.

If your not happy with what your surgeon said request to see another or ask to speak with the clinic manager, if it is CC you ARE covered.

hi girls. it was dr chantarasak who did my ba. ive been back to see him many times since i had my op last maybecause ive always had a problem with this breast first of all i had a mondors cord and the nurse that was there at the time was horrid but mya have been fab and my co-ordinator amy is so so lovely, they even paid for me to get a taxi to birmingham to see mr singh back in october last year because i thought maybe it was a rupture that was causing my problems and he had a feel and said he didnt think so but told me to go to my gp but my breast has got worse since then. im gutted that i paid a lot of money for my ba and i havent been able to enjoy my boobs fully because my left has always been uncomfortable and is just getting worse. just after christmas it went harder so i went to see dr c and he said that they wont operate until its really bad. i went away and over the next couple of weeks it got worse again, i cant wear any underwired bras because it just hurts and makes the side of my boobie burn. i went back to see him saturday and he said to not wear a bra for a while (great!), i told him i couldnt lay on that side, so he told me to adjust my sleeping position and he wouldnt do re-op until they get really bad. i really dont want to badmouth mya because i think they are fantastic and wouldnt go anywhere else but i think this is really not fair. so hes now going to leave me until it distorts really bad. i think its really disgusting that ive now got to live with my boob hurting and being uncomfortable and its definately noticeably smaller than my right because of the scar tissue squeezing the implant. im so gutted and feel like crying xx

Oh my that sounds horrid and really unfair cant believe he’s left u like that.. id probably speak to a solicitor and get some advise take ur care pack with u least then when u go back u kno what ur intitled 2 get xx

I agree with mudders i cant believe how nice ur being about them its causing u discomfort and yet they wont help u is there a reason u have to wait??if theres not then i would get straight onto a solicitor get some advice and maybe see some other surgeons just to get there oppinion.its not right hun.xx

Awww Janeella i really do feel for you!

I honestly think you need to see if you can speak with a surgeon, a re op doesn’t always solve it long term. I cant understand why you cant massage them either i have the textured implants and i have been told to massage them like any others.

I’d ask them why they think that leaving it at this stage is the best option. Ask about the future of your implants and what results they think you are going to achieve keeping your current ones to getting them changed. Im sure that there is a reason your surgeon doesn’t want to change them at this stage. Ask them if there is anything they can do or suggest to take the pressure off.

I honestly wouldn’t go to a solicitor at this stage because there must be a reason that they wont re op. It maybe a waste of time/money.

how did you find out you had CC, cos my left boob as always been hard after my BA 4 months ago and its never dropped im worried i have CC but my surgeon Mr K, says he cant tell me if its CC until im 6 months post op, im so worried, especially hearin you having to live with this i no how you feel they dont look right, my left is higher than my right its very noticilble, it doesn’t hurt me all time tho, but every so often i get twinges (like a sharp pain) that only last a couple ov seconds, i massage wiv cocoa butter twice a day, does this sound like CC??

anyway i hope they sort your boob out cos they should, its all under garantee, ya’v not paid all that money to live wiv this id open my mouth if i wa u n make sure they listen to ya, good luck x

i was told not to massage textured implants.

vicki, mine too have always been quite firm but my left has become firmer, you sound like i always have been but my left has got worse, if i pick up anything heavy makes it worse and i cant wear any underwired bra cause it seems to dig in the side and cause burning pain and when i lay on my left side its quite uncomfortable, not all the time but most. Mr chantarasak also said the same at my check ups and when i saw him the last couple times he diagnosed cc but you will be fine, a lot of people’s boobies stay quite firm if you didnt have a lot of breast tissue to start with.

ive complained many times and i saw dr c twice in 2 weeks but he just said that to re-operate would cause a lot of blood in the pocket. mr pc said to give it a couple of months and she will arrange for me to have a second opinion. i can live with the fact its firmer, what i cant live with is i paid to have my breasts done and now its uncomfortable to lay on and i cant wear a pretty bra. i dont understand why he would leave it until it got distorted badly seems ridiculous, its noticeably smaller xx

omg janeella, that’s awful. You need to keep phoning hunni, it must be covered under their aftercare. CC is suppose to be less common with unders, you have been very unlucky. Do phone tomorrow hun, and let us know how you get on. Big hug x

i know tammy ive been so unlucky. i had such tiny boobies before and i love having bigger boobies, i didnt go huge, just big enough for me to wear nice things and it took me a lot to save up the money. i just keep thinking that ive got twin girls who r 2 and it took me 3 ivf’s to have them and they love me picking them up and im beating myself up thinking maybe thats what caused it, but i didnt pick them up until 6 weeks after my ba. you know, its something i always wanted to have done and thought, no ill wait until ive had my kids, and im just gutted. i love taking a pride in my appearance and my breast enlargement gave me such a lot of confidence and now its all gone wrong

I like u had drC, I’m a week post op wiv 380 overs!! I’m so worried especially as it can happen years down the line! It’s a worry!
