    Hi Ladies,

I was originally booked in for 19th July with Dr Singh, but now looks like its been moved to 16th.

I should be meeting my pc again later this week to go through more size options as I’m not sure still, but I was wondering if any of you could advise on the following:

Do I have to sleep sitting up? And if so, how long for?
How do I know what size sports bra to get?
Is there anything I should do to help reduce swelling?

I took a last minute appointment so feel like I’m in a rush to find out all the details.

I’m more worried about missing something I should be doing just after the op, so any advice appreciated.

    Thank you

    Sarah

I took a last minute appointment too, was such a rush, less than a month between first consultation and surgery! I felt like I was missing something huge as well but as soon as I saw Dr. Singh he made me relax so much.
You do have to sleep sitting up for about 2 weeks, I really recommend a V-pillow, they keep you propped up 🙂
Ask your pc about bra sizes, she will know what’s best for the implants you choose, but I added a size on to account for swelling which was definitely a good idea!
Ice helped with the swelling but the strappings Dr. Singh puts on you are so tight you don’t have much room for swelling 🙂
Take a book/magazine to keep you occupied before the surgery because that’s when the nerves really kick in
If you have any more questions just ask hun xx

Hey hun I had dr Singh, ur in safe hands he is a genius!
Sleeping upright is recommended for about a week and whenever u feel comfortable to lay flat!
Dr Singh should tell u what size bra to get. If not the macom post surgery bra is stretchy and fits all sizes so you just buy ur back size. Otherwise just ask girls on here what size they got with similar size implants! This forum is helpful for things like that.
To recuce swelling I just had ice packs they were a godsend as I was super swollen and bruised!!
Would recommend using bio oil or cocoa butter, I started using it a few weeks before my BA and I’ve used it pretty much everyday afterwards and I don’t have one stretch mark!
    Hope that helps xxx

Thank you ladies, this is really helpful.

I’ve ordered my v pillow already, I thought I’d give it a go beforehand to see if I can get used to it.

I’ll also look into the macoms, I’ve not heard of this before.

Would you both mind if I add you please?

Feel free to add me 🙂
M&S do a great zip up sports bra, I bought 3… you cant lift your arms up over your head to put tops on for the first couple days, so make sure you take something that zips at the front to wear after the surgery 🙂
