Let me know what you think – I’m 3 weeks post surgery now but I haven’t got any new pics yet. Still a little swollen.

Thank you all, to be fair as my family and friends keep saying I didn’t have ‘that’ much to get rid of – I’d done most of the hard work in the gym and a huge change in diet – it’s was just the stubborn pockets of fat I had on my upper and lower abdomen. This was my before / after of my weight loss – left is August 2014 – right is May 2015 – before my surgery, no Spanx or anything on the right.

    Hi
I am inspired by your photos. I’ve read such bad feedback about MYA aftercare with patients whose surgery went wrong (mainly boob jobs) . I really went Vaser Liposuction after piling on over 20kgs from November last yr following the murder of my step-son. I used to run to keep my trim size 8/10 shape and had even gone down to a size 6 in 2012 (I’m 5ft 9″). I can’t run anymore (or even enjoy the gym) since damaging both tendons! I can hardly walk most of the time to be fair so Vaser is my knight in shinning armour!
I had my consultation (if you can call it that!) with my prospective surgeon (all of what seemed like 5 minutes!) And was promptly told “No!” When I stated that I wanted flanks and lower tummy done. He held no eye contact and quickly sat behind his desk writing up notes (?) following examination of my lower tummy which he said had a hernia. I was devastated and was almost ushered out straight away be his PA when I asked what do I need to do so I CAN have Vaser on this part. He said “See your GP” “…and what about my side bits?” I asked “Oh?” He questioned “You still want? Then yes! Yes you have lots a there!!” as he continued to look at his piece of paper and busied himself with his writing… I was shown the door..!!

Did anyone else have an experience like this? I felt totally invisible!

This leads me to believe the negative feedback I’ve read elsewhere about MYA and their surgeons…

    Someone help me please!!

It cost me £3500. That was for 1 hour – just the upper and lower abdomen.

I have to say I am really happy with the lower abdomen, but as time goes by I’m less and less happy with the upper. I still have a big roll of fat. My lower is completely flat and you can’t pinch any fat – the top is still pretty flabby. Seeing the surgeon on the 17th, so I’ll be raising my concerns. The nurse agreed with me that the bottom is way better than the top.

Alison what did they say about your upper stomach? And are you happy with the results now? I am going tomorrow back to see the nurse. My stomach is so swollen still, only 7 days post op and I feel like my lower abdomen isn’t as good as the top one. So I want to raise concerns myself. Hopefully I’m just working over nothing x
