Just a general interest as to why some girls have the breast band across the top and some don’t? Is that just down to surgeon choice ect?

I went for my weekly check yesterday and I was meant to of had a breast band but wasn’t given one in surgery so I’m being sent one that you have to wear for 6 weeks. Purpose is to help them drop quicker and more evenly I think xx

Yeah I was given a breast band and told to wear it for 6 weeks. It’s to help your boobs drop into place. I’m 5 weeks po now and have stopped wearing mine coz they seem to be dropping ok xx

To breast band is to help the implants to drop into place and settle . My nurse told me to wear the breast band for 4 weeks , I found it very uncomfortable and itchy , I couldn’t wait until my 4 weeks was finish so that I could stop wearing the band …

Mine are under the muscle and I have to wear the breast band for at least a week. It’s to compress them down to help with swelling and to stabilise them as far as I know! I think it’s just surgeons preference!

Some surgeons just prefer to let them settle naturally over time like my surgeon does 🙂 I have mr traynor he’s done mine twice and never used strapping or bands on anyone as far as I’m aware. He said they will drop in to place by them selves. But some surgeons obviously like to hurry things up?! Xxx
