I sat for 30 mins with mine unhooked tonight watching TV as it was rubbing on incisions which can only do more harm than good! I’m a bit cynical about this advice about wearing your support day and night as I actually want mine to drop as they are so high up. I’ve read elsewhere that some women don’t wear bras all day after op and have an hour or 2 of loose time. I’m not saying this is right but there are so many mixed opinions on this issue it’s ambiguous. Xx

Over the course of the 1st week of healing your external stitches will probably be well healed but internaly it can take 2-3 weeks, the stitches are whats created the pocket thats holding your implant so thats why it’s important to be well supported during that time, you can have small amounts of time here and there for relief, if your sitting still your not putting any extra exersion on to the pocket but if you were leaning forwards/ reaching up etc…..that would put pressure on the stitches, i had short breaks quite often in the first few weeks and it certainly did me no harm, were all eager for our implants to drop but it’s important the external and internal healing is completed first xxx

It’s very true Jen reccomendations for recovery differ massively from company to company and one country to another, my research on the sleeping upright turned up that in USA most surgeons require it for 3 or 4 days tops for breathing reasons but agree that of your surgeon has constructed the pocket properly you should then be fine to lay flat, yet in the UK there nearly all reccomending up to 6 weeks, you have to do your own research to make the right choice don’t you then it’s on your own head, i have stuck to the MYA bible 100% because if anything went wrong i wanted to feel it was unfortunate and not my own fault, was a tough 6 weeks but it goes fast, i found i couldn’t keep mine off for long anyway because they became really heavy after 5 mins and i honestly felt like they were going to drop off 🙂 xxx

I’ve had my bra on constantly since surgery apart from 20 mins when having baths ect, but last night it was really cutting in to my chest during the night and I couldn’t sleep so I just undone it, and was like that for about 6 hours !! It felt so so good but now I’m worried as I’ve been in more pain today that I have been for the past 2 days around the incisions on both sides. Could that be the resin for the pain ? Anybody had this problem, I don’t want to do any damage and I’m hoping I’ll sleep better tonight and loosen my bra a little instead.
