Cancelled

This is my first time posting on here, I am in London ready for my BA tomorrow and have just recieved a call from my PC saying that my op tomorrow has been cancelled because the air con in Fitzroy is broken and it’s unsafe to proceed with the op!! I am honestly so gutted as my mum and dad have booked time off work to come up with me and I have booked 12 days off for work also. We’ve already paid 2 nights in the hotel and congestion charge along with parking as well. Has this happened to anyone else? If so did you get told when it would be re scheduled? Xx

So sorry to hear this hun! If I were you I would call them and email first thing tomorrow to find out if they can/will reimburse your hotel stay, parking and congestion charge if you haven’t already done so.

As annoying as it is try to gather all the reciepts for these items. It’s in their best interest to rebook this all for u asap and show excellent customer service. God knows what happened today in surgery or the girls who maybe in recovery so count it as a blessing if u can that it didn’t happen on ur actual day.
They really need to consider your new date for ur op that works for u, ur parents and work but you can’t do any of that without the info from your pc.

So I just spoke to my patient co ordinator, not happening tomorrow at all. There is a chance it can happen Friday so we are going to stay up and I’ll find out about 10am tomorrow, worst case scenario is that it’ll happen Tuesday but I’m top priority because I was the first person in tomorrow morning. Fingers and toes crossed it’ll go ahead Friday because we are booked in the hotel Friday night. My PC said she will refund us for the travel too which is a relief! Thank you for replying xxx

Hi im also due to have surgery tomorrow but havnt heard anything about the cancelation? When did they inform you? Xx

They rang me around 7pm. Is it Fitzroy that you are booked into? Xx

Aw no im so sorry!! theres so much preperation …we also booked hotel paid for parking and the congestion charges etc yes mine is in the Fitzroy with Dr Fuimera I just contacted the ward and they said theres no changes to mine as of yet so fingers crossed! I hope they are able to find a suitable day quickly for you xxx

Hi Hayley I am also in London and found out mine has been cancelled I was in for a full tummy tuck and was also told I was first on the list tomorrow morning at 7:30 and that I was priority what I can’t understand reading these messages as why some surgerys have been cancelled yet some can still go ahead my surgeon was mr Marcelino who was your surgeon? I am also heart broken spent most of the night in tears due to the fact I ad prepared myself to be let down my partner have also taken a week off work to help look after my daughters and myself. All we can do is wait for their call and hopefuli they put us first and get us in Friday really don’t like giving poor feedback and have used mya previously and never been treated like this before can you let me know when you hear something il also contact you when I do my number is 07*
