Can anyone tell me what was your experience with conscious sedation ? Are u asleep during procedure ? Are you aware of the surroundings ? I am freaking out thinking I may see or hear stuff during surgery.

Hey, are you going with Mr Kazzazi? .. That’s what I had, I was abit scared too incase I could see people around me etc. All I remember was the cannula going in my hand, and my hand started going really cold. The anaesthetist said he was going to put some more pain relief in, I remember staring at the light above me and the next thing I knew I was getting woken up put in the wheelchair with my dressing gown on to go back to my room! My earring on my ear had been covered with a plaster too which I don’t even remember happening. The nurses said I was out like a light and that I was fast asleep, I don’t remember a thing and came round within half an hour of talking rubbish! I think you are sort of asleep but if they ask you to do something, you will react to it. Such as lift your head up etc.. Hope this helps. You really have nothing to worry about x
